MUNICIPAL GOLF LINKS.
NEW BRIGHTON MAYOR*S VIEW. The proposal to establish municipal golf links in Rawhiti Domain was refered to by the Mayor of New Brighton (Mr J Et. Shaw) at last night's Borough Council meeting. He had inspected the property with members of the City Council, he said. The principal factor was how much it would cost to bring in the rest of the Domain, which would be necessary for a golf course He thought the City Council would confirm their action as far as they had gone. Both the representatives of New Brighton and the City thought that the income from the links would be considerable. He hoped that an equitab'e arrangement would be reached and that they wouM go on with the proposal. There would probably be a further conference, at which details would be considered.
