UNEMPLOYMENT.
* MEN TO BE PUT OX PUBLIC WORKS. Registrations yesterday totalled 31, and included 17 married men. The Public Works Department intend putting on an additional 124 men on relief works in Canterbury during the next week or ten days. At the end of last week, the Department had a total of 291 employed on relief wcrks.
