4— COMPENSATION AWARDED. (rr.ESS ASSOCIATION TELEaBAJI.) WELLINGTON, July 19. The Arbitration Court awarded John Howard, of Napier, tunnel worker, £IOOO less 44 weeks' compensation already paid, the net total l>eing £740, for injuries to the head received in the Kohemaori tunnel by falling from an overhead tramway. Alfred Crossey, a labourer who was injured on roadwork in Waifafapa, Obtained £250 compensation. J. W. Reynolds, a labourer, was awarded £.261 for loss of an eye.
