SEARCH FOR DANISH BARQUE.
♦ TRISTAN DA CUNHA REPORT. (nXITIB FRXSS ASSOCIATION—BT BLZOIBIO TELIOEAPH—COPrRIGHT.) j CAPE TOWN, July 17. The Mexico, which has been conducting a search, has arrived, and reports no definite news of the missing Kobenhavn. The captain confirms the story from the Halesius that the Kobenhavn passed Tristan da Cunha on January 21st. The people of the islands give a story reminiscent of that of the Marie Celeste. They say that the Kobenhavn had ono topsail and one jib set as she passed. Her other sails were furled, and there was no sign of life aboard. She seemed to be drifting on the rocks, but the current swung her around. She appeared to be in good condition. — Australian Press Association.
