UNEMPLOYMENT.
NEW COMMITTEE FORMED. Registrations yesterday totalled 23, and included 14 married men. The old committee of the unemployed was disbanded at a meeting of the unemployed yesterday and a new committee consisting of four single men and three married men was set up with the view of enlisting public sympathy in the appeal being made for funds. A chairman of the committee was appointed. It was announced that the committee would not handle any moneys received, but would give all subscriptions to the Citizens' Unemployment Committee.
THEFT ADMITTED.
(press association telegbam.J WANGANUI, July 18. Stanley Jesse Dart, aged forty-seven, an accountant, pleaded guilty to-day to the theft of £724 7s 8d from the Wanganui rurnishing Company during a period of a year and ten months up to June 24th. during which period he was employed by the company. He was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington "for sentence.
