Several persons interested in the carrying out of the Port Christchurch Canal scheme at the Estuary met on Tuesday night and discussed* the project, with a result that it was decided to convene a public meeting at an earlv date, at which it is hoped to exhibit a sketch of the scheme and give some details of the work and cost. A Port Christchurch League will be formed at the meeting if support is offering.
