Automobile Association. A meeting of the Westland branch of the Canterbury Automobile Association was held last evening at Hokiflika, Mr U. P. Stuart presiding. A letter was received from the Hokitika Borough Council advising that no suitablo place for a camping ground could be recommended, except the HoKitika racecourse. It was repaired to write to the club on the matter. Wedding. The wedding of John Thomas Dalton McLean, of Greymouth, to Eileen Valentine, eldist daughter of Mr and Mra A. T. Bennett, of Cobden, was celebrated at tho Church of the Resurrection, Cobden, this afternoon. The vicar, the Rev. W. Bell, officiated. The service was fully choral, and the church was decorated for the occasion. The bride, who entered the church on tho arm of her father, wore a frock of white satin Celanese, trimmed with radium lace, and a white veil surmounted by a coronet of orange blos*om. i&he carried a bouquet of white rose»-aad maidenhair fern. Her bridesmaids were Misses Eva Bennett (sister) and Chrissie McLean (sister of the bridegroom), the former wearing •pricot Celanese satin, with hat to match, and the latter pink satin Celanese, with hat to match. Both carried bouquets. Edna Bennett, as flower girl, wore powder blue crepe de chine, and carried a basket of braize-tin ted flowers. Mr T. Tarrant was best man, and Mr M. Bennett groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained by the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs McLean leaving later for Otira, en route to Christenurch and the North Island, on their honeymoon. Poultry Club. Tho Greymouth Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Club met this evening, Mr J. Jackson presiding. It was resolved to request the South Island Association te appoint a judgo in the open class. The present officers and committee agreed to continue in office until after toe show in August. The secretary reported that the poultrymen's excursion from Christchureh to Greymouth on August 3rd would be patronised by at Itntt 400 excursionists. Belief Committee. A meeting of the Greymouth Earthfuake Relief Committee was held this wiling, the Mayor (Mr J. W. Greenback) presiding. The Nelson County Council and Mayor of Hastings wrote offering clothing, if any was required. A mb-committee was appointed to wview the list of applications, with a !*i«w to completing it. It was resolved to advertise that all applications for relief mnst be in hand %J July 24 th. Cases of overcharges for repair work h* connexion with earthquake damage «t» reported to the executive.
