EXCHANGE. The now of investment business yesterday was below normal, but firm conditions prevailed. New Zealand Government 4$ per cent. tax free Stock due 1939 was firm at par. National Bank of Australasia fully paid shares eased to £l9 14 S) further buyers offering £l9 14s 6d, without attracting sellers. Buyers of the partly paid shares raised their bids to £9 14s, sellers at £9 15s 6d. Bank of New South "Wales shares on the Melbourne Register were placed at £sl 12s 6d. Bank of New Zealand shares hardened to 61s 3d, buyers staying in at that price, sellers asking 61s 6d. Auckland Gas shares advanced to 24s 7d, market closing 24s 4d buyers, no sellers. New Zealand Breweries shares were firmer with dealing at 78s, and further buyers at that figure, sellers at 78s 3d. British Tobacco Company shares remained at 48s sd, closing quotations 48s 5d buyers, 48s 8d sellers. Colonial Sugars were released at £SB, market closing £57 17s 6d sellers, £57 15s buyers. Victoria Nyanza Sugar shares were taken at 46s 3d, and more were wanted at 465, sellers at 46e 9d. Winding Creek Is paid shares changed hands at 2s 6d, 2s 7d, and 2s Sd. New Zealand Insurance shares cum dividend of lid per share were quoted 48s 6d buyers, 48s 9d sellers. Electrolytic Zinc Shares cum dividend of 6 per cent, remain at previous levels. Buyers of Mt.
