Cambridge, at the close of play, had scored 322 runs for the loss of eight wickets (J. T. Morgan 133 not out). NOTTINGHAM V. SOUTH AFRICA. . LONDON. July 8. Nottingham in their first innings agafnst South Africa made 476 (Wa'ker 53, A. Carr 194, Payton not out 134). Morkel took nve wickets for 72, Bell three for 88. ° Oll th Africa in their first innings made 304 (Christy 148). Lnnvood took three wickets for 91, Staples four for 64.
