Two first offender* ■ lor drunkenness were e3ek fined 10s and costs, in default 24 hours' inrprwomnenfc, 'and: a'.third via .convicted and ordered to; pay expenses. ' DISORDERLY BEHAVIOUR. Thomas Edgar, for behaving in a dicorderly.majiner in a publie place, while drunk, wm fined £3 and costs, and for using indecent language he was convicted and discharged. The evidence was to the effect that the offences took place at a dance in the Sydenham Football Club's Hall. Edgar, who is a seaman, used the language complained Qf. to" the "M.O.?* The police were called and he was arrested. DAMAGE TO PROPERTY. John Parrell pleaded guilty to damaging a picket fence, the property of Albert Henry George Smith, to the extent of 18s, and was convicted and ordered to make good the damage: On a charge of using obscene language in a public place he was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence If called upon within twelve months. RSMANDED. Clifford Williavi Goodgerand John Charles Witherington wex-j charged with the theft of a motor-cycle and side-car, valued at £45. the property of G. G. Brebner. . They were remanded until July 15th, Goodger being allowed bail in one surety of £IOO or two of £SO. " John Henry Percival Hagarty was charged with robbing David Hamilton Weir Carry snd using personal violence. He was remanded until July 15th. BY-LAW CASES. For leaving a motor-car drawn np in Cathedral square in an incorrect manner, J. G. Wear .was fined • 10b and costs. Por cutting a corner, W. Midgley was fined .£2 and costs, and for leaving a car standing for over the time limit he was fined 20a and costs. .. Vera Crawford, for leaving a ear standing for over the time limit, was fined 20s and costs, and for cutting a corner she was fined £2 • and costs. For driving a ear at night without lights, George Butler was.fined 20s and costs. For a similar offence David Harrison was fined £2 and costs. For passing a standing tram, W. C. Roberts was fined 20s and costs. Fred "Fowler, for obstructing traffic, was ordered to pay costs. 0. A. Myhre, for failing to comply with a traffic .signal, was ordered to pay costs. For leaving a car standing in an incorrect manner, Marguerite Wotherston was fined £3 and costs.
