CONCERT HALL.
CHANGE OF NAME PROPOSED.
I Mr Gladstone Hill, -who is conducting moving pictures in the Municipal Concert Hail, has written to the City Council suggesting that tha name of the Hall be altered to Civic Theatre, and he suggests that the Council formally adopt that name. Reporting this matter last evening, the Departmental Committee advised: — The committee has given the matter consideration, and recommends that Mr Gladstone Hill be granted permission to erect a sign on the building bearing the words "The Civic," and to use this name on his advertisements. The question of contributing towards the eoet of the sign will be further considered by the committee when a quotation as to its cose has been obtained. The elause was adopted.
