SYSTEMATIC FRAUD ALLEGED.
POLISH JEWS CHARGED. (f*2ES ASSOCIATION TEI.EGE.AK.) WELLINGTON, July 6. Further details were given in the Court to-day regarding Josep Peliks and Josep Crawcow, Polish Jews, charged with absconding from Australia with a view to avoiding the payment of debts. The Chief-Detective produced a cable from Melbourne, stating that their debts totalled £ISOO, and the general conduct of the accused indicated systematic fraud. The Magistrate (Mr* M. Page) said that the accused -were, arrested as fugitive offenders, and it would appear that they -would have to be sent back to Australia under escort. On the facts at present he was not prepared to admit them to bail.
