The Technical College Board of Governors has agreed to proposals made by officers of the Agricultural Department to the Christchurch Technical College Agricultural Instructor, for carrying out on College property a test on top-dressing pastures, extending over a period of three years. The area of land required will not exceed three-quarters of an acre and the initial expenditure on the part of the Board £lO to £l2. The experimentwill be an interesting one from the point of view of the College's agricultural boys who will carry out some of the work involved. Similar experiments are being carried out simultaneously by the Agricultural Department at Ruakura and Massey Agricultural Colleges in the North Island and at Win ton in the South Island, and the results may mean much to the pastoral interests of the Dominion.
