The chairman reported having purchased a cup on the Association's behalf to be presented to the Lincoln Ploughing Match Association for the championship match to be held on July 16th. It v/ss agreed that the president and seere- j tary should call meetings of the sub-com-mittees set np at a previous meeting to discuss matters relating to a proposed flock and herd competition, and to consider the matter of erecting memorial sates to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the Association, and that their reports should be available at n<»xt meeting of the General Committee. Dr. F. VT. Hilgfendorf, Director oi the f Neiv Zealand Wheat Research Institute, re- [ quested that members interested should send | samples to the Institute. He stated that . part of the programme of the Institute vraj | to collect wheat of all varieties from all localities, with the object of testing their ' gluten content, and seeing if certain varieties j in certain districts produced severe! types j of wheat.
