PRIDE OF CHRISTCHURCH TENT.

The Pride of Christchurch Test met on Monday evening, C.R. 3ro. W. Armstrong Four new members were initiated. A motion of condolence was passed to Bro. F. J. Smith in the death of his wife. Sis. A." Pycroft and Bro. Bsscand gave very favourable reports on the recent visit of the Tent of the Good Templars' Lodge. The Tent voted £2 2s to the Mayor's Earthquake Fund. To help the Superintendents of the Juvenile Tents in the matters of finance and the further education of the children, the following committee was elected: The present Superintendents, together with Sisters Hastings and Pycroft and Bro. Good. Sis. Hastings briefly outlined the rules and the methods of awarding points in connexion with the Canterbury Provincial Council's initiation competition. _ It was announced that the prizes for the members recruiting the largest number of Sisters had been awarded to Sisters WhiHingham and Smallwood. A new enterta ; nroent committee was elected as follows: —Bros. Good. Baseand Spiers, Armstrong, Gray (2). Jackson, Sisters Hastings. Smallwood, Josliag, Pycroft. and Waittingham. At the conclusion of the business a varied programme of vocal and instrumental items, arranged by Bro. W. Bray, was given.
