(Received June liih, S.oO p.m.) SYDNEY, June 1-L At the air enquiry cjtudley .Lush, manager of the Neptune Oil Co., S ave evidence that Uhn in 1927 had asked his company to supply oil for a proposed flight round Australia, and Lush anally referred Ulm to the Shell Oil people. Many conversations occurred about aviation and the question of attracting attention to the flight were discussed. During one of these Llm suggested it would be a good thing to get lost in the wilds somewhere. Lush replied: "That would be no good while using our oil." Witness treated the matter as a joke. Witness added it was against his will having to givo evidence about this incident, which was within the knowledge of his general manager. Ulm, who was recalled, said that no suggestion about getting lost was ever mentioned. As .•>. matter of fact all negotiations with Lush were contained in letters before the committee. Kingsford Smith declared that no statement of this sort was made by Ulm while he was in Lush's company. The chairman of the committee announced that they hoped to complete their report to-day.—Australian Press Association.
