PUBLIC NOTICES. CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD. SPECIAL, ORDER, V"CTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a! *-~ Special Meeting of the Christchu-. Drainage Board called for that curposo arid held at the Office of the Board 'in ihe City of Christchurch on the Fourth day of June. 1929, the said Board did resolve: THAT WHEREAS the Chrisichurch Druii ago Board is authorised by the Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1923. to borrow by Special Order and in manner proTided by the Local Bodies Loans Act, 19-26, but without complying \tith the provisions contained in Sections 9 to 13 of that Act. moneys up to £SOOO in mv one year, BUT WHEREAS the Local Government Loans Board hag, at a Meeting held on the Tvrentyeighth day of May, 1329, sanctioned the borrowing by tiie Clirietchurch Drainage B">ar»i of the sum of £SCOO in respect of a loan known as Advances to Rotepayeis' Loan, 1929, for the purpose of making advances to ratepayers to enable them to connect their premises with the sewers of the Board, subject to the following conditions: (1) That tho term for which the loan is borrowed ehall not exceed eix year*. (2) That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said loan shall not exceed five pounds five shillings per centu per annum. (3/ That the Local Authority ehall make provision for the repayment oi the Loan by establishing a Sinking Fund of £lB is Od per centum per annum calculated on the amount raised, the first payment to the sinking fund to commence at the end of the second year of tho currency of the Loan, or any part thereof. (4) That no portion of interest or sinking fund shall be paid out of loan money. NOW THEREFORE the Christchurch Drainage Board, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Chrietchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1923," and "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926," herebv Resolves by way of Special Order, FIRST, to borrow the sum of .£SOOO for the purposes authorised by "The Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1923," and "The Christchurch District Drainage Amendment Act, 1927"; SECOND, that the sum of £SOOO shall be repayable on the Thirtieth day of June, 19K; THIRD, that the rate of interest payable in respect of the said Loan shall be FIVE POUNDS FIVE SHILLINGS per centum per annum; FOURTH, that for the purpose of repaying the said Loan on the Thirtieth day of June, 1936, the Board will establish a sinking fund of not less than £lB 2s Od per centum per annum calculated on the amount raised. The first payment to such sinking fund to commence at the end of the second year of the currency of the Loan or any part thereof; FIFTH, that the Loan shall be known as "Tlw Advances to Ratepayers' Loan, 1929."
