Forecast. A shallow cyclone i 3 passing north of New Zealand and a slight depression in the south. Au anti-cyclone is still situated east of the South Island and another one is moving off the ea3t roast of Australia. Pressure distribution is now less favourable for the development of general rains. Present indications are for moderate to fresh east to south winda north of Westport and Kaikoura, elsewhere moderate westerlies backing to soTitherlies and freshening; a rathw rough swell on. the East Coast north of Kaikoura and on the West Coast of the North Island elsewhere seas smooth to moderate; moderate to fresh southerly winds with moderate seas in the eastern Tasman Sea; the weather changeable with some scattered showers, more especially north of Auckland and in eastern districts; cool temperatures.
