SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mrs A. Mackenzie (Clayton Station) is the guest of Mrs S. Mackenzie JOOtumarama). Mrs W. H. Hetmore ("Wai-iti road) has returned from a visit to Christchurch.
Mrs G. Murray, who has been staying with Mrs Bruce Murray (Beverley road), has returned to Braemar.
Miss B. Murray has returned to Braemar after a visit to Mrs F. I. Washbourn (Grant's road). Guests at the Hydro Qrand Hotel include: —Dr. and Mrs W. R. Wade (New Plymouth), Dr. and Mrs Ross (Wairoa). and Mr and Mrs W. Middleton (Sydney). Recent arrivals at the Dominion Hotel include:—Mr and Mrs W T. Anderson (Christchurch), Mr and Mrs D. R. Y.W.C.A. A preliminary meeting was held at the Y.W.C.A. last evening to make arrangements for a Street Day to be held early in June in aid of the funds of the Association. Mrs George Bowron, president, was in the chair, and there were also present Mesdames J. C. Newell, A. C. Bretherton, Len. Wilson, Meddings. and Miss Mabel Smith, members of the Board of Director?' g'ri representatives from the clubs, hostel, and cafeteria. It was decided to meet again in a week's time, when names of helpers will be handed in and more definite plans made. (CONTINUED ON PAGE 17.)
