IN BANKRUPTCY.
DISCHARGES GRANTED BY SUPREME COURT. At the Supreme Court yesterday morning, before his Honour Mr Justice Adams, discharges from bankruptcy were granted in tho following cases: —Edward James Beker (Mr C. V. Quigley), Alex. Freeman (Mr Quigley), Herbert Stewart White (Mr Quigley), Ivy Pringle (Mr C. G. Penlington), John Garwin Dillon (Mr L. J. Hensley), James Morland (Mr D. E. Wanklyn), Thomas M. Handisides (Mr Quigley) Emmeline Margaret Fleming (Mr Quigley), Eliza Madden (Mr E. S. Bowie), Edward Milner (Mr M. 3. Burns), Lincoln Russell Roberts (Mr H. Y. Widdowson), Claude S. Shuttleworth and Arnold George Shuttleworth (Mr C. G. Penlington). In the cases of John Morrison Glasson (Mr R. Twyneham) and Sidney James Thomas (Mr J. R. Hampton) discharge was granted, subject to a suspension for three months. ORDER OF ANNULMENT. "I have very much pleasure in directing the order of annulment of bankruptcy," said his Honour'in connexion-with s motion for annulment by Robert James Duncan (Mr K. L. Saunders). "It seems to have been very unfortunate for the debtor that the legal vacation should have intervened." It is satisfactory that the debtor was in a solvent position, and his adjudication as a bankrupt was a matter of misadventure rather than anything else," said his Honour Mr Saunders explained that there would have been'.Jio bankruptcy if the debtor h«4 not been,dilatory in paying the costs of some litrgStrorT —ttpon* "which h#" had 'embarked ill-advisedly. In December ."bankrupt gave an agreement of mortgage to secure those costs, and greatly to his surprise he had. shortly afterwards, been adjudged a bankrupt. The terra of the mortgage was a short one, and the vacation intervened, preventinar the bankrupt from finalising matters. He had paid his debts in full, with interest, a few months ago. The annulment order was granted.
