AERO CLUB.
ENTHUSIASTIC WORKERS. BEST HANGAR IN N.Z. The Canterbury Aero Club is getting enthusiastic support from its members, lon Saturday over 50 turning out as a working-bee to complete the runway from the new hangai to the Wigram Aerodrome. The fence was taken out, and the ground levelled off. Mr J. C. Mercer, instructor, said he was very pleased with the way the men had worked. He hoped to have another working party next by which time the hangar should be 1 finished. It was already well on the way, and would be the best in appearance of any club hangar in New Zealand. It was a really good structure. During the morning Mr Mereer continued his flying instruction. One new member turned up, Mr C. E. Iversen. Altogether nine members received instruction on the ground during the morning. Only one out of the first ten has not appeared so far, and he has been detained by business. The membership of the Club, said Mr Mercer, must now be close on 200.
