FRUITGROWERS.
CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The Canterbury Fruitgrowers' Association met on Saturday night, Mr E. Frerman presiding over a good attendance. i Mr F. W. Cone announced that the j Dominion Conference of the Federation of Fruitgrowers had been postponed till July 3rd. Ihe chairman announced that a pruning demonstration, the first of the season, would be given at Mr Frank King's orchard, Horotane, on June Ist. At the next meeting of the Association, Mr L. Paynter, Orchard Instructor, would report on the spraying experiments at Mr Cone's orchard. On June Bth a demonstration of a 2 hip. tractor would be given at his (Mr Freeman's) orchard. Mr J. D. Carolin, Assistant Orchard Instructor, gave a demonstration of packing apples for export.
