DISABLED MISSION STEAMER.

PROCEEDING TO AUCKLAND. (pacss ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, May 4. The mission steamer Southern Cross, which was disabled at Norfolk Island with a broken rudder trunk, sailed at sunset last evening for Auckland, and is due here next Tuesday, according to advice received in Auckland. A jury rudder has been rigged and the trip back to New Zealand will be made at the leisurely speed of seven knots. On arrival in Auckland the mission steamer will go into dock to have repairs effected.
