CHRISTCHURCH STOCK EXCHANGE.
The outstanding feature on eail on Saturday was the sharp advance in. New Zealand Breweries' shares, 700 changing hands at 63s 6d. and sellers staying in at that price, buyers offering 63s od. Tooths Brewery shares weakened to 59s 9d, closing quotations 3d on either side. Buyers of Queensland Brewery shares moYed up to 31s 6d, sellers at 345. Quotations for Government issues showed little movement on recent prices.
In the banking section two parcels of Commercial Bank of Australia snares were released at 30s Id, closing quotations Id on either side. Australian Bank of Commerce shares appeared stronger with buyers at 36s 2d, sellers at 36s 4d. National Bank of Australasia fully paid shares scored a rise with dealings at £l9 los, market closing £l9 14s 6d buyers, £l9 16s sellers. The £5 paid shares also hardened to £9 15s 6d, with further buyers at that price, sellers at £9 16s. Buyers of Christchurch Gas shares, 10s paid, moved up to 13s 3d, sellers at 13s 4d. Dunlop Rubber shares had dealings at 27s 9d and 27s Bd—6oo shares changing hands—and more were wanted at 27s 7d, sellers at 27s 9d. Mount Lyells were firmer with business at 44s 9d, closing quotations 44s 9d sellers, 44s 6d buyers. New Zealand Farmers' Co-op. 6J per cent. Stock, 1939, realised £9O. SATURDAY'S TRANSACTIONS.
