Shortly before the Beform Govenifment went ont of office a promise was made to Price Brother*, ot Thame*, that an order would be given them for the construction of two heavy railway locomotives, which woold give work to the workshops staff for about a year. On the change of Government it tu notified that no further Government work wottld be available. The member for the district, Mr A. M. Samuel, made representations to the Prime Minister, pointing out that nsleae the original promise was kept a number of skilled men would have to Hek employment elsewhere, fie urged the Government to reverse its decision. Sir Joseph Ward ondertook to discuss the matter with the Minister for Bailwaya and girt a reply as sooa as possible.
