ADDINGTON NOTES.
Fancy Dress Social. The Selwyn Free Kindergarten held their annual fancy dress social in the Methodist schoolroom, Selwyn street, last evening. Fifty-one children in all forms of fancy dress attended. A spectacular monster grand parade was held, in which all took part. The object of the social was to assist in raising funds to enable i free kindergarten schoolroom to be built. The collection realised £5 10s, which should leave a credit, after paying expenses, of &Z. Rugby League Social. There was a large attendance at the weekly dance held by the Addington League Social Club in the Selwyn street Hall. During the evening novelty dances were held, also a Monte Carlo one-step. The prize winners were as follows:—Lucky spot one-step* Miss Wright and Mr Williams; lucky spot fox-trot, Miss Harper and Mr Taylor; Monte Carlo, Miss Peddie and Mr Aitken; lucky numbers, Miss Withers and Mr Waddell.
