Sequel to Collision. On the evening of January sth, 1329, after the Trotting Meeting at Victoria Park, a collision occurred ia High ; street, near the Branner street corner, between a motor cycle, ridden by Reginald George Caatle, and a motor-ear, owned by Police Inspector O'Halloran, and driven by his son. The outcome wax that the motor-cyclist was »eriouslr injured, mod to-day a claim for £3OO damages waa heard ia the Greymonth Magistrate'# Court before Mr W. Meldnim, MM. Mr F. A- Kitchingham appeared for plaintiff, and Mr J. Han nan for defendant, whoae evidence had been taken in the North Island. Describing bis injuries, plaintiff said that the small bone of bis right leg w»s broken, the kneecap wrenched, and the leg lacerated in three places. The medical account waa £6 10*, and the motor-eycl© rep&ixs had cost £1 15«. Witness waa off work for nine w««ka, and claimed i-s for wages lost. When he returned to the factory he found that the leg was not aa good as it had been, and dropsy had since developed in it. He waa usable to carry on in his former occupation. Plaintiff maintained that had the car driver continued on liis fourvi there would have been no accident at all, and be described other alternatives which wercopen to him. After hearing the evidence of several witnesses, the Magistrate reserved hi* decision.
