DOMINION'S POPULATION.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TBLZGKA.iI-) WELLINGTON, February 14. The estimated total population of the Dominion of New Zealand, dependencies, and mandated territory, stands at 1,525,942 (males 779,772, females 746,170). The population of New Zealand proper is estimated at 1,401,445 (excluding Maoris), the Maori population being 65,441. Tfee estimated populations of the North and South Islands, including Maoris, are 937,357 and 529,529 respectively.
