President of the Free Stat*, that Eamonn tie Valera, who was *eotenced to a month's imprisonment for entering Ulster, should be released purely as an act of graoe, the Minister for Home Affair* Tor Northern Ireland offered de Valera bis freedom, conditional upon the neeessary undertaking* being tpren. Mr de Valera rigidly refused, and thus remains in gaol.—Australian Press Association.
