STONE-THROWING.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE PRESS. Sir, —Heading in this morning's paper Cl3th) about stone-throwing on people's houses at Picton, where one particular residence is picked on, I may truthfully state I have not to go to Picton for any stone-throwing on the house. I am-at present all alone in my home, except for a baby 19 months old. My husband is away at Work all the week and does not come home till the week-end. I have a daughter at the present time in the public hospital ill, and last Friday evening between 9 and 9.30 p.m. I had six stones thrown on my residence. One landed on the verandah by the front door. I collected the stones and have them reserved for anyone to see. I have showed them to three or four persons, and they are here for other persons to see if they so desire. They were thrown from the road, and are road metal. About 12 or 16 months ago I was annoyed the same way. Every Thursday night for Weeks it happened about 10.30 p.m. I spoke to a certain person about it, and it ceased until last week. There is no sense in the game, whoever did it. but I mvself have my doubts who did it. As far as I know there is nobody else in Harewood who is annoyed in this wav.—Yours, etc., HAREWOOD ROAD.
