Captain Frank Hurley and Fljwg Officers Moir and Owen have scoured Europe searching for a suitable aeroplane in which to return to Australia, but thev are unable to obtain one. Flying Officers Moir and Owen desire to fly back in a DHoO machine. Captain Hurley is negotiating with a British firm to return to Australia by a car. in which lie will trover** the battlefields. Germany, Switzerland, Central Europe. Turkey, Gsllipoli, Iraq, Persia, India, Burma, and the Dutch East Indies, taking films en route. It is proposed to return to England in September and to fly back to Australia in an attempt to beat SquadronLeader Bert Hinkler's record.— United Service. [Captain Hurley crashed near Athene on November 26th, when taking off, his machine being damaged beyond repair. He was attempting to better Hinkler's record of 14 days in flying from Croydon to Australia, by flying from Australia to Croydon and back in 38 days, taking 10 days on tbe outward flight. The crash mad* a resumption of the flight impossible, but Hurley expressed a determination to procure another •plane.]
