VIOLENT EXPLOSION.

SHOP WRECKED IN EARLWOOD. ("UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION —15* ELICMtIO TBLZOaATB -COPYRfOHT.) SYDNEY, January 2. A violent explosion, the cause of which is unknown, wrecked a bootshop in front of a picture theatre in the suburb of Earl wood early in- the morning. Fire broke out and the roadway was strewn with debris. The picture theatre was damaged, the walls being cracked. Other buildings nearby were also shaken.
