At the end of the next furlong Set Sail just headed Royal Saxon, and Rotor, King Balboa, and Pink Note were close up. Set Sail hftd drawn out a length clear of Royal Saxon at the six-furlong post, where Rotor and King Balboa were lying nest. Rounding the far turn Royal Saxon headed Set Sail, the remainder being bunched. Racing to the turn for home Set Sail was headed by King Balboa, and Royal Saxon was three-quarters of a length in front of him at the entrance to the straight, with Set Sail, Queen Balboa, and Pink Note on the rails close up. Royal Saxon drew out three lengths clear of King Balboa when heads were turned for home and the latter retired, Queen Balboa and Pink Note being next 111 order at the distance. The latter led Erin's Prince and Lady Zita into t&e straight, and fifty yards from home was going easily. Then the driver of Erin's Prince made a challenge and Tarndale broke and let Erin's Prince beat him by two lengths. Lady Zita was Bix lengths further back third with Shady Spot,.
