The hall was packed on the occasion of the annual break-up of the Loburn School, which wan held in conjunction wilh tile Plunkct Society's annual Christmas tree. "Father Christmas" arrived by car at 7.30, and spent a busy time stripping tho heavilyladen tree and gladdening tho children's hearts. This was followed by a. very successful corfbert, given entirely by the pupils. The first part consisted of choruses by the children and nursery rhymes by tho tiny tots in fancy dress. Tho second part comprised' -a plav, "entitled "Incomprehensible." tho cast being": Miss Bullivant, teacher, Kitty Galletly; Connio Jackson, monitress, Bella Hughey; Bessio Bunter, Joyco Goldsbury; Barbara Redfern, Myrtlo Dawsou; Mabol Lvnn, Olwcn Croft; Teddy Bear and Bunny, Marion Hascll and Alison Montgomery: Tho play was quite a croditable performance, and caused much merriment. After the concert little Marjorie Henry presented Mrs Montgomery with a bouquet, and-Olweij the senior girl of the school, on- behalf of the Fifth and Sixth .Standard girls, handed her a beautiful box of notepaper.
