STRAND THEATRE.
Two excellent pictures are being shown at the Strand Theatre this week. Heading the bill is a screamingly funny farce, "The Gay Eetreat," starring Ted McNamara and Sammy Cohen. The picture deals with a young man, Dick Wright, who enlists in the Ambulance Corps after being turned down by other branches of the service. "The Understanding Heart" is the other picture, and stars Joan Crawford and Rockliffe Fellows. Episode 6 of "The Trail of the Tiger," a comedy, a scenic, and a topical are shown in support.
