METHODISTS THANKFUL.
(PBESS JLSBOCIATIO* TZLEGBAU.) WANGANUI, November 8. The Wanganui-Taranaki Methodist Synod, sitting here, passed the following resolution: "Synod records its deep gratitude for the tremendous victory gained in the United States in Mr Hoover's election to the Presidency by such an overwhelming majority. Synod sees in it an unprecedented triumph for moral forces, especially for the great cause of Prohibition. It regards the results of the election as a challenging reply to the iniquitous and false propaganda of the liquor party and a stirring incentive to the movement in New Zealand."
