OLYMPIC LADY SWIMMERS.
TREATMENT OP TEAM.
"CHARGES OF VERY GRAVE NATURE."
[THE PBESS Special Service.] DTJNEDIN, November 7. "Having sent lady representatives to the Olympic Games," remarked Mr J. L. Mclndoe, chairman of the Otago Swimming Centre, at the Centre's annual meeting to-night, "it was only reasonable to expect that every consideration and courtesy would be shown them, and every encouragement given them to go in and win. If the allegations made in a confidential report by a member of the swimming team are true, and I have no reason to believe that they are not, then it is no wonder that the lady swimmers were unsuccessful at Amsterdam. I cannot say more at present, but when the report is permitted to be published it will reveal some charges of a very grave nature."
