♦ Magistrate's Court. At the Magistrate's Court yosterday, before Mr W. C. Cleary, J.P., James Eooney, a second offender for drunkenness, was convicted and ordered to pay £1 Is medical expenses. Bathing Recommences. "With the return of warm. weather bathing has recommenced, and each afternoon crowds of children, with a fair number of adults, are to be seen in the water at the swimmers' steps at Gladstone Pier, and at Corsair Bay. Providing the weather remains warm, a large crowd is expected at Corsair Bay tomorrow.
