A GLASS BRIDGE.
AT CHRISTCHURCH SHOW.
The large model of the Sydney Harbour bridge, made entirely of glass, was a special exhibit at the Royal Easter Show (Sydney) this year. This model was made by Miss Mae Kingsley, the girl glassblower, and caused a great deal of interest there. It is a beautiful model, over seven feet in length and made to scale from a plan given to. her by Dr. Bradfield, who is chief engineer of the bridge construction. Miss Kingsley has also made a lady's evening dress entirely of glass, yet it can be handled ,and worn the same as ordinary material. It is a beautiful blue and gold creation which looks. like, silk but weighs oyer 101b. These r two achieve; ments •■ will -be on exhibition -in ' Confuncffoh with ithe astounding demonstration' of "spinning, weaving, knitting, and blowing ware novelties and souvenirs from the raw material by this talented Australian, girl. Birds of paradise, kangaroos, sailing ships, liqueur and wine-glasses, birds and beasts appear as' if by magic under .the delicate touch and sureness of breath of this talented girl. .
