♦ . Methodist Concert. Attention is drawn by advertisement to an ' 'evening out" at the Methodist Schoolroom, Lyttelton, where this evening there is to be a grand concert and dramatic sketch by Christchurch' artists. In addition there will be humorous songs, ducts, and quartets. Farmhouse Burned. On Monday a house at Charteris Bay, owned by Mr J. T. Hay, was totally destroyed by Are. The owner was up on the hills mustering at the time, and Mrs Hay was work: ing in the orchard some d stance away. With the-help of neighbours, Mrs Hay succeeded in saving the washhouse and a storeroom. The house was insured for £2OO in the Commercial- Union Company, but there was no- insurance on the furniture. Mr Hay also lost about £ls in cash. • . Harbour Light Theatre. "A Trip to Chinatown," a comedy-romance starring Margaret Livingston and J\ Farrell Mac Donald,. and "Tumbling River," featuring Tom Mix, will be repeated at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night, together with a comedy and a gazette. To-morrow, "College," a comedy feature starring Buster Keaton, will be shown. The supporting programme includes a comedy and a news reel.
