A lively discussion as to hoy much should \be charged the Sevehth Da^ Adventist Church for the use of the Show Grbunds for its annual summer camp took place at the meeting of the couhdl of the Auckland Agricultural afid Pastoral Association. A lettet from the churdh authorities requested the USe of the grounds again this stifrimetf for A camp extending from December 27tli to January otn» but it would be necessary to have the use of the grounds from December dra to January 13th to allow time for pitching and dismantling Ifhts. Mr C W Anderson remarked that last year there were about 300 people under canvas there, and he feai-ed that if that sort of thing continued the Association would meet trouble witn hotels and boarding-houses whose legitimate business was the provision of accommodation. Last year all these people had had the use of the Sroinjds for £25 for five or si* weeks. Mr M. G McArthur: 'lt amounted to Is 6d apiece " The president, Mr W. W. Maasey, said that many .people Bad been amazed at the smartness of the charge. Mr Anderson: "I should say many people would be glad to become Seventh Day Adventists for a week or so. (Laughter.) He suggested chargine on a per capita basis. Eventually it was decided that £IOO should be asked this year
