ANNUAL MEETING.

Hey Wood reported bti their Werk at the Addingtbh Feftiale Reformatory, ftnd the cohcerts, oecasioaai addresses, and help giveh to prisoners on release. The Rev. F. R. ftawle spoke Oh his work at Papafua Prisoa. After SbUle discussion bti .afteiHti&fti work, the secretary explained how the work of the Society would be lightened and made tobre hopeful by the segregation of the criminal who Was irrefohttable, because bf mebtal defectiveness. The anfilial report stated that during the fifteen months ended March 3lsti 1928, a total of 168 cases were dealt with by the secretary, of which 133 were prisoners helped on discharge. The following help WaS giveUßoard and lodging was found tbr oo CafleS: fares .and other help to Work fbf. 68 cases; clothing fO)" 44 Cfls€S; 10 families were helped; and miscellaneous help given to 40 cases. Much help was giveii to other bases by vaHOUS rnerti» bers of the committee both at Addington and Paparua prisons. Mrs Herbert and her Soclhl Welfare Guild had helped many families.
