FIRES.
SHED DESTROYED.
At 5.47 o'clock last evoning the Central Brigade received a call to 162 Canon street, St., Albans, where a fire had broken out in a detached shed. The combined house and general store in front, owned by B. E. Chinnery, was badly scorched.
RESIDENCE BURNED DOWN. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELEOHAM.) MASTERTON, November a. One of tho first houses erected in Femridge, near Masterton, was totally destroyed by fire early on Sunday morning. The occupier, W. Bennett, an employee of Mr K. M. Perry, on whose property the house was situated, returned home at midnight and retired. Half an hour after he found the structure to be in flames. " The property was insured for £400.. The house contained 8 rooms.
