ETCHINGS EXHIBITION.
SOME BEAUTIFUL WORK.
An exhibition of artists' proof etchings is at present being made in the recital hall of Messrs Chas. Begg and Co., Ltd., Manchester street, by the Australian Painter-Etchers' Society, under the personal supervision of Mr Ernest Finlay, B.A. Altogether there are about 200 plates in the exhibition by Messrs Sydney Long, A.E.E., Prank Brangwyn, E.A., 8.E., Hubert Herkomer, P.E.A., E.E., Henry Van Eaalte, A.E.E., Richard Wallwork, AR.C.A., J. M. Thbmasson, Trevor Lloyd, Bruce Eobertson, Sydney Ure Smith, Thomas Friedensen, and the Sydney Etching School. The etchings cover a wide variety of subjects, including scenes in the Dominion, Australia, and Britain. Landscapes, seascapes, and pastorals aro excellently presented, and .there are some beautiful figure studies, the general standard of the exhibition being high.
