Forecast. A deep depression is covering New Zealand and tho Taaman Sea. Present indications are for strong north to west winds of gale force in places south of New Plymouth and Castlepoint, seas tough south of New and Castlepoint, and elsewhere moderate in New Zealand waters; strong westerly winds to gales Infer backing to south-westerly in the eastern Taaman with generally rough seas; the weather cloudy, unsettled and squally gener-

ally with rain in all western districts and sonic heavy falls, but ch'angeabla with scattered showers in districts with an easterly aspect.
