CARNIVAL BALL.
At the Winter Garden last night a successful carnival ball, organised by Mrs Burnes-Loughnan, was Held in aid of Nazareth House. The music was supplied by the Bailey-Marston Orchestra, and the supper tables were deco-' rated with narcissi and zinnias. { v The members of the committee were: Mesdames Burnes-Loughnan (organiser), Bernard Wooo" (honorary secretary), Frank Graham, Frank Petre, Cecil Ollivier, Frank Cowlishaw, Cyril Ward, George . Weston, .Alfred Bunz, Harold Barker, J. Findlaf,. Misses M. Enright and Doherty. Very charming divertissements vrere introduced,, including two ballets by the pupils of Miss Mulvany Gray and Miss Emery and one by the pupik cf Miss Margery Myers. Mrs Burnes-Loughnan wore a bet. tiful gown of begonia georgette witn lavish embroidery of crystal beads and silver sequins, and loose side panels weighted with silver bead fringe; Mrs Frank Graham, charming frock of hyacinth blue georgette, the corsage embroidered with blue and silver sequins, and the skirt falling in long pointed panels; Mrs Alfred Bnnz, lilac georgette patterned with crystal beads and rose-pink and green floral motifs: Miss Doherty, black georgette ana lace, with tiny coloured floral motifs; Mrs Cecil Ollivier, handsome dress or black lace, with uneven hem longer at the back and diamante ornament at the waist; Mrs J. L. Findlay, lichen green taffeta with appliqued roses of pink velvet; Mrs FranF°Cowlishaw, handsome frock of black moire outlined with diamente and finished with diamente buckle; Mrs George Weston, black georgette embroidered with diamente; Mrs Bernard Wood, pervenche blue georgette embroidered with silver beads; Mrs Cyril Ward, cameo pink georgette banded with rows of pink eequins; Miss M. Enright, • lime green georgette, beaded all over with crystal beads.
