ST. JOHN'S CHURCH.

DEDICATION CEREMONY. The dedication and official opening of the St. John's Methodist Church at Bryndwr took place on Saturday afternoon, when there was a large attendance. Mrs Leslie B. Neale and Mrs George Hight cut the ribbons at the entrances to the church. The Rev. Leslie B. Neale thanked all those who had assisted in erecting the church. He also paid a tribute to the efforts of Mr A. E. Nicholl. The Rev. Samuel J. The Methodist Church was now concentrating on better churches than in the past. Mr George Hight, treasurer, said that so far £2303 14s 4d had been collected towards- the cost of the church, while promised donations would bring the amount to £3805 12s 4d. At the present time there was still £1636 owing. The total cost of the church would be £5541 19s 6d. He also referred to the efforts of Miss N. Harrison in connexion with the Sunday School. Mr A.. E. Williams, circuit steward, congratulated the congregation of the Bryndwr Methodist Church on acquiring such an excellent church, which, he said,' was as good as any suburban Methodist Church in New Zealand.
