SCOUT SPORTS.
FIRST ANNUAL MEETING,
The first annual Scouts' Bports meeting, attended by about two hundred Scouts ana Cubs from the various troops in Christchurch, was held on Saturday afternoon at Hagley Park. Owing to the bad weather prevailing at the commencement of the sports, 'one or. two troops were not represented. Each ovent was very keenly contested, and the meeting was a most- successful one from all points of -view. The following are the results of the various events:— 100 yds Scout Championship—Kichmond 1 and 2; cuba' 50yds championship, Linwood 1, Belfast 2; patrol relay race, Rugby 1, Eiehmond 2; cubs' relay race, Belfast 1, St. Luke's 2; Scouts' three-legged race, Richmond 1 and 2; cubs' wheelbarrow race, wood 1 and 2; Scouts' wheelbarrow race, East Belt 1, Linwood 2; potato race (Scours), .Linwood 1, Richmond 2; potato race (cubs), Belfast 1, Linwood 2; A.S.M.'s and A.C.M.'s race,. Rugby 1, Linwood 2; S.M.'s and C.M.'a, Rugby 1 anfi 2. The total points scored by the respective troops were: Linwood, 32 points; Kichmond, 22 points; Rugby, 19; Belfast, 13; St. Luke's 8; and East Belt 6. The prizes were distributed after the sports meeting. The meeting was controlled by Scoutmaster Bourn, assisted by other Scoutmasters and members of the Toe H.
