The publication is demanded of the text of the South Africantrade treaty with Germany Before its submission to Parliament for ratification. An official communique indicated that the /principle involved was unconditional favoured-nation treatment, while safey guarding existing Empire references. It is now realised' that if Britain grants further it will be impossible for South Africa, to respond adequately, Germany having the right automatically .to claim concessions given to Britain. The "Argus" points out that nnoe 1922 German imports have increased bv £2,500,000, of which £760,000 it for this Government aocotwt.—Australian: Press Association. i
