MOTOR ACCIDENTS.

SIX PEOPLE INJURED. As the result of motor accidents yesterday, six people admitted to Christchurch Hospital suffering from injuries that were fairly severe. The majority of the accidents were caused by collisions with other motor vehicles. Miss Robertson, of 218 Cashel street, was pillion-riding on a motor-cycle in Marshland road last evening, when the cycle came into collision with another vehicle. She received injuries to the left thigh, and was suffering from shock. She was admitted to the Hospital. The driver of the cycle, F. PBigwood, of 40 Stourbridge street, Spreydon, received injuries to the right shoulder. He was treated as an outpatient and discharged. Shortly after 8.15 o'clock last evening, two motor-cars came into collision on Yaldhurst road. L. Olsen, of 371 Worcester street, and Allan William Chisholm, of 83 Hastings street, Sydenham, received injuries to the face. They were both suffering from shock, and were admitted to the Hospital. Their condition is not serious. Both cars were considefably damaged. When returning from the Kangiora races shortly after 6 o'clock last evening, a taxi came into collision with another motor-car at the corner of Eclg e * ware road" and Madras street. The force of the impact overturned the taxi, which turned completely over twice before righting itself. The taxi was completely wrecked,t and the other car was badly damaged. . The three occupants of the taxi, Mr and Mrs Collins, of 28 Trafalgar street, and Mr W. A. English, of 278 Ferry road, were admitted to the Hospita . Mrs Collins suffered injuries to her back, the other two occupants receiving head injuries. They are all suffering from shock, but their condition is satisfactory. The occupants of e other car escaped injury.
